Privacy and cookie policy

How Roofline Ltd uses the personal information you give us, the cookies on this website and your rights. Last updated 25 October 2026.

Who we are

Roofline Ltd is responsible for the personal information described here (the "controller" under UK data protection law). We are a limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16867804. Our address is 8 Twisleton Court, Priory Hill, Dartford, Kent DA1 2EN.

For anything about your information, email [email protected] or call 01322 950271.

What we collect

  • When you ask for a quote on this website: your name, phone number, email address, the service you need, your postcode if you give it, and your message.
  • When you call or email us: the details you choose to give us.
  • When you visit this website: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how you use the site, such as the pages you view, how you found us, your type of device and browser, and your approximate location. If you do not accept, it does not run. Our hosting provider also handles your IP address and basic details of each request so it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

  • To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and carry out the work, because you have asked us to. The law calls this taking steps before, and performing, a contract.
  • To keep the website working and secure, which is in our legitimate interests and yours.
  • To understand how people use the website, so we can improve it, only with your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell your information, use it for marketing, or make decisions about you by automated means.

Who we share it with

We use these companies to run the website and our email. They act only on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare hosts this website and processes quote requests sent through it.
  • Resend delivers quote requests from the website to our inbox.
  • Microsoft (Microsoft 365, through GoDaddy) provides our email, where your enquiry is received and kept.
  • Google provides Google Analytics, and only if you accept analytics cookies.

Some of these companies may handle information outside the UK, for example in the USA. When they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US data bridge. We will also share information if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to any work are deleted within 12 months.
  • If you become a customer, we keep records of your job for as long as we need them for the work and for our legal and tax obligations, which is usually six years.
  • Google Analytics keeps information about visits for no more than 14 months.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use one item that is strictly necessary and two Google Analytics cookies that are only set if you accept them.

Name What it does How long it lasts
rl-consent Remembers your cookie choice. Stored in your browser, never sent to us. Strictly necessary. 12 months
_ga Google Analytics: tells one visitor from another. Only with your consent. 2 years
_ga_CSTJHPR1WV Google Analytics: keeps track of your visit. Only with your consent. 2 years

You can change your mind at any time. Switching analytics off deletes its cookies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your information;
  • limit how we use it, or stop using it;
  • send it to you or another organisation in a portable format.

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.
